I've dabbled in, and often returned to sending art through the mail, and having the postal service become an intrinsic part of my art. There's an element of letting go that occurs when you drop a piece of art into a mailbox, uncertain if it will succeed or ever be seen again. Moreover, many of my mail art pieces involve multiple recipients with some element of creative problem solving and community interaction on the receiving end.
