The Cleaner

This 2005 Burning Man performance piece built on top of Pepe Orzan's "The Dreamer".  Playing on the surreal nature of this piece, I established a daily routine of marching out to this amazing sculpture, appropriate sized Q-tip in hand, to ceremoniously clean the ears, much to the bemusement of onlookers.  I consider art that is built on other art (without copying it) a pure form of admiration and legitimization.
